I am calling to request urgent attention to the serious security problems with the Los Angeles BMD (ballot marking device) voting system as currently certified for use in LA County in the March 3, 2020 election. From the transcript of the Board of Supervisor meeting with Dean Logan, it appears the Supervisors are unaware of the security failures that were found by the independent security testing company. The failed tests are all extremely serious and need to be investigated.
I advise that you call for a full investigation and hire an election integrity expert to inspect and remedy the situation.
And I ask, why were these machines, which did not meet the conditions specified in the contract, were accepted?
